Walking...
Quenton has been taking 1-3 steps consistently for the last week or two, but just yesterday started walking 6-7 steps and is trying to walk places rather than crawl. However, when he wants to go somewhere fast...he reverts to crawling. We couldn't catch him doing too many steps, but here is a glimpse...

Operation Mend
I have posted about Operation Mend before...this is the program that provides Jae the opportunity to work with AMAZING surgeons and people. They have, once again, performed a "home run" with his face and hand (as the surgeons say). We CANNOT wait to see what lies ahead!!! He has his last radiation treatment tomorrow morning, and then he will back home to us!!! We have missed him terribly!
Anyways, I was looking around on the computer the other day, and found that they now have a website! It truly encompasses everything that they are, and everything they are doing. There are interviews with some of the wounded warriors, information on each of the warriors that they are helping, and also interviews with the buddy families...including our buddy family! I am truly thankful for EVERYONE involved, and can not begin to tell them what they have done for Jae and our family.

Now THAT is a bad hair day!
This afternoon after Addison's nap, she was playing with Jae, and we noticed the static was pretty strong. We just couldn't pass up this funny opportunity, and she loved it. It was like rubbing your head on a balloon...
I'm sorry there are so many, I just couldn't choose which was more funny. Every single one made me laugh out loud!

Tucker's 3rd Birthday!
Our good friends across the street have two children, one older than Addison, and one a little younger. Addison looks up to Ava, and LOVES playing with Tucker, so it is a great combination for her. Tucker had his birthday party yesterday at a "jumpy world" as Addison calls it. She had a BLAST!!! Here are a few pictures of the fun...

11 Months Old, Already!!!
My sweet baby boy is already 11 months old...today! Can you believe it? In one short month, we will be having his 1st birthday party! He in no way looks like a tiny little baby anymore, but somehow, I can still convince myself that he is still a baby. After next month, I won't even be able to do that! Here are some pictures from this morning when he woke up from his nap...
And, here are a few things he's been doing lately...
- waving bye-bye and hello
- saying "dee-dee" for Addie
- saying "mommom" and "dada"
- saying "ot" for Hot
- saying "oh" for uh-oh
- clapping
- signing more
- giving kisses and hugs
- standing up unassisted for a long period of time
- taking one step
- drinking out of a sippy-cup
- eating all table food (and a ton of it!)
- walking behind and pushing toys
- playing peak-a-boo
He weighed in at the GI doctor last week at 22 lbs, 15 oz (in the 50th percentile)

Sweet siblings
In all honesty, Addison is a WONDERFUL big sister. Always watching out for Quenton, making sure he is okay, telling me what he is doing, sharing toys (for the most part), and feeding him some of her food. Although, sometimes it gets a tinsy bit out of hand, acting like his mommy, giving him a little "love tap" too hard on top of his head, etc.
The most sweet thing is when Quenton comes to her and wants to play with her, or cuddle on her. He gives her kisses, and now, as of Thursday...he gives hugs. And he loves giving them to his sweet big sister...

Christmas Card...Oops.
Okay, so I took all of our Christmas cards with us to Texas, thinking I would address them and mail them out while we were there. Funny thing...I left my address book at home. So, I started collecting addresses while I was there, and started mailing some out. Now, I'm not sure who I've mailed them to, and who I haven't. I'm absolutely crazy, I know. So, if you didn't get one this year, I'm sorry. It was not on purpose. If you got two, I'm sorry also! I'll do better next year, I PROMISE...

Frosty the Small Snowman
We didn't make a big snowman yesterday while playing in the snow, and come to find out...we should have. Addison saw a big snowman in one of her books, and decided we should go out during Quenton's nap (her only one-on-one time) to build a snowman. Little did we know that the snow was no longer wet enough! So, our snowman is a little on the small side. They say big things come in small packages, right?

Baby, it's COLD outside!
It started snowing, as predicted, around 9:00 this morning. It hasn't stopped yet...but surprisingly enough, we only have about an inch or inch and a half so far. But, it is supposed to continue through the night and tomorrow also. Addison has had a fever for 36 hours, but I had promised her that we could play in the snow. Since there wasn't quite enough snow on the ground to build a snowman, Addison built a baby snowman! Hope everyone got a little taste of this wintery weather!!! I LOVE it!!!
