Update on Quenton...

Well, this past Monday, Quenton was diagnosed with RSV, which we think he got from his sister, who was very sick the week before. Since he is so little, and he was born early, we watched him very carefully, taking him in for a checkup with the doctor every morning. They decided it was time to admit us to the hospital yesterday afternoon because he was continuing to get worse, and they felt he was getting dehydrated. So, we are in the hospital for at least 48 hours, hopefully no more. He is hooked up to an IV antibiotics and fluids, but eating well now. He gets breathing treatments every 6 hours, and then they suction his nose and throat. We'll keep you posted, but hopefully we will be out tomorrow afternoon!

One month old, already!

Well, I have decided to try and capture Quenton each month, to chart his growth. I didn't do this with Addison, and I definitely regret it. So, here are our two babies...1 month old, and 31 months old...

Oh, the personalities!!!

Here comes Addie Cottontail...

Well, since Quenton's arrival, we have been blessed to receive quite a few presents...and Addison is learning that most of the time...if Quenton gets a gift, she gets one, too! She has been spoiled!

Ya-Ya (aka Nancy Forrester) gave her a little Easter goodie bag the other day, and she was ecstatic!!! She went absolutely crazy, and wanted to put EVERYTHING on...I'm telling you, the kid is WILD! So, here is proof of the excitement...oh, and of course she had to let baby Quenton join in the fun!

Visit to Boss & Gamma's

Jae and I decided to pack up and head to down to Fort Rucker last weekend to visit Gamma and Boss. Addison was so excited, and asked about 700 times if we were "going to Gamma & Boss?" on the way down. Since it was such a beautiful weekend, Addison was able to test out the new fishing pole with Boss, and get some good play time outside with all the dogs. (In a couple of these pictures Jae has made her spin around and around until she was dizzy...great, huh?) Crazy dad.

We had a great time, and needless to say, Addison was not ready to come back home!

Newborn Photographs

Okay, Heather has done it again...I love our pictures from Quenton's newborn session. There were so many good ones, but my favorites are the ones with him on the saddle. Here are just a few, but you can go to www.bbookout.photobiz.com/cart and then scroll to the bottom and click on barclay. Then type in any email address, and the password is babyboy.

Please go check them out...they are so neat, my favorite is #3115. But, please excuse how tired I look, I think it comes with the package

Well-baby Check-up

We headed to our new pediatrician, Dr. Klemm, yesterday, and absolutely loved him, even Addison liked him!!! Exactly what I've been looking for in a pediatrician! What a blessing. Anyways, Quenton has grown an inch, measuring 20.5 inches, and has gained a lot, too...he weighs 7 lbs, 7 ounces. The doctor said he looks great, just a "little man", in the 25 percentile for everything. He is becoming more aware every day, and loves it when Addie sings Twinkle-Twinkle to him. We'll have to get a video of that!

Zing, Zang, Zoom!

We took Addison to th Barnum & Bailey's Circus on Saturday, and, honestly...I think she had the most fun she has EVER had! Quenton toughed it through like a champ, and was great!

Okay, back on track!!!

The camera is fixed...so here comes the pictures! Quenton is doing great, his jaundice is gone, and he is eating like a little piglet. We go to his new pediatrician today, so we'll see how much he has grown over the last 2 weeks. He is awake and alert much more now, and Addison loves everything about him! Here are some of the latest pictures of our little sweet guy!

Addie has her driver's permit!

Addison has finally gotten over her fear of the gas pedal! She is a driving maniac! She still needs a little bit of help with steering, but...hey, one step at a time, right?
