1 Year Well Check

Quenton's 1 year well check was delayed by our Valentine's Day snow, and he was able to go back this past friday. The pediatrician was very pleased with his growth and development, and he is right on track! He weighed in at 23 lbs 15 oz, which is the 75th percentile, and was 30.5 inches tall, which is the 63rd percentile. So, just like his big sister was at this age, he is a tinsy big for his age...but all the more to love!

He is walking EVERYWHERE. Boy, it makes shopping a whole new experience...and I will ALWAYS have one of them in the grocery cart!!! What would I do if one bolted in one direction and the other in the opposite direction? I don't even want to think about it!

He is saying "momma, da-da, dee-dee (Addie), uh-uh (uh-oh), and na-na (no). He signs for more, please, all done, thank you, and almost has milk down. It cracks me up, and I LOVE watching him interact.

He is big enough to tackle his sister now, and definitely knows how to defend himself or his toys if need be.

Quenton is completely off of the bottle, has 3 sippy cups of 8 oz of whole milk a day, and his diet consists of all table food...no more baby food. Whew. It is SO much easier now!!!

We also saw his GI on Thursday, and he feels Quenton may hopefully be at the "beginning of the end" of this acute reflux. He is still on Prevacid every day, but is not nearly the yacker he used to be. Thank goodness.

Here is the little man at his one year appointment.

A lot has happenned.

A lot has happenned over the last weekend! Quenton's birthday, his party, Valentine's day, and a snow day. I'm playing catch up from the weekend! There are 4 new posts below...

Just another day of snow...

It seems like lately we get a dusting of snow once a week. Much different than the last couple of places we lived...Texas, which never gets snow, and New York, which ALWAYS has snow. It never really accumulates much here, but snows just enough for everyone to run to the grocery store to stock up. It absolutely cracks me up.

We got about an inch and a half on Valentine's day. We ran outside during Quenton's nap to build a snowman. Good thing, because it was all melted by 1:00!

Just a couple of sweethearts

Addison opened her Valentine's goodies, and also opened Quenton's Sunday morning. Boy, she gets spoiled by her grandparents! We were stuck in the house most of the day because of snow, but they found ways of occupying themselves.
Addison spent most of the day in her new Jasmine dress-up clothes, and she set up a jumping area in the den. Quenton, of course tried to copy his big sister...he succeeded, just in a different way!

It's my party, and I'll...

drink if I want to...

chew on jewelry if I want to...

eat cake if I want to...and get it EVERYWHERE!

flirt with my girls if I want to...

and hang out with my grandparents if I want to...

My friends, on the other hand, can do whatever they want...

That cake didn't have a chance...

This video cracks me up...Quenton is completely enjoying his cake, and smacking and licking his lips.

No longer a baby...

Happy 1st Birthday sweet Quenton!!!

We went out to eat Friday night for Quenton's first birthday, and then came home for cake and presents. Quenton chose a Yo Gabba Gabba cake (I only gave him two choices) and LOVED his first taste!!!! He got a set of toy shelves from Gamma, Boss, Nana and Papi. And a handful of toys and clothes. He was in heaven...

My sweet little boy is no longer a baby.
